Some tips for beginners.
Here are a few tips before purchasing makeup, if you are still a beginner.
1) Consider your budget:
Whether or not you are a teenager and don't have as much money as you would like to spend on some makeup, you should consider a budget. This is very important, especially when you are just starting out.
2) Research is your best friend!:
Before going out and buying products, you should always research before hand, and choose the best ones for you, consider your skin type, complexion, eye colour, hair colour etc. It is best to spend money on something that does just what it states and more, rather than wasting money on some product that is no good.
3) Look around:
When you are just starting out, every cent you can save up is the better. So, look around at different cosmetic stores for different prices, and choose the best. (No this does not make you cheap, this is just how you budget)
4) Start slow:
You do not need to buy everything all at once. Start with the basic stuff, maybe a foundation or a BB cream, an eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, mascara, blush and a nice subtle lipstick. By time, you can add bits and bobs to your kit.
5) Experiment:
Experiment with your new makeup. I do not recommended putting on makeup for the first time before leaving the house for an event or occasion, this is because since it is the first time you will be using your new makeup, you would still be learning how to use it properly. Whether you put on a bit too much foundation, or you are still learning how to get your eyeliner even. Practice using your new makeup until you are confident. Get opinions from someone close to you too !
6) A little goes a long way:
Don't go overboard with your makeup, for example if you have a blush, put a little bit of it on your brush and add more along the way if you are not happy with the pigment of it. Vice versa for other products.
I hope these tips were helpful for you all, and remember, You are beautiful with or without makeup!
